Trailer Handling
Category B1+ E. If you wish to tow a trailer then you must now take a separate DSA. Trailer towing now has separate laws. If you passed your driving test after August 1997 and wish to tow a trailer then you must take a separate DSA car & trailer driving test. Only when passed by an official DSA examiner can you tow to Manufactures Authorized Mass (MAM). Our experienced DSA Approved Driving Instructors will train you or your staff upto test standard and prepare you for this test. Plant, heavy machinery, quarry, logging, horse boxes, cars, builders are all covered under this new law. Heavy penalties are now being issued for illegal use of trailer towing.
Minibus
Category D1 and D1+ E. Minibuses now come under the category of small coaches. If you want to drive a minibus and tow a trailer then a separate test again will be needed. We can train you or your drivers to prepare for the DSA test. Once you have passed the mini bus driving test and wish to tow a trailer then a separate trailer test will be required.
Tractors
Category F. Tractor testing is now also compulsory. You can take a tractor test at 16 to drive certain types of tractor. At 17 you will need a separate test to drive any type of tractor. Our qualified DSA ADI instructors will come to your premises, advise you on the type of tractor and give you instruction on your ability to drive safely to the required DSA standards needed for this test. You will be advised and shown correct methods of driving and manoeuvring and what the test entails.
